Here at Triton we’re thrilled to announce that Julian Stuhler, Solutions Delivery Director and IBM Gold Consultant, will be sharing his DB2 10 upgrade expertise with users during a webcast on November 13th 2012.
Entitled ‘International DB2 Users Group Shares DB2 10 Upgrade Experience From Users’, Julian will co-present with Kurt Struyf, DB2 Consultant from Suadasoft. Since IBM DB2 Version 8 was withdrawn in April 2012, many DB2 users began to look to migration to DB2 10 to reduce costs and improve performance. Topics will include DB2 10 cost savings, reducing CPU and improving performance, and reducing business risk and overheads by staying current.
The free webcast is presented by the International DB2 Users Group (IDUG) and hosted by Surekha Parekh, IBM’s Worldwide Strategist & Market Program Director, DB2 for z/OS. Julian is a past president of IDUG and he and Kurt will highlight and share customer experiences, best practice and lessons learned by early adopters of DB2 10 from members of the IDUG community, universally regarded as a thought leader in the data management arena.
Aimed at IT and enterprise architects, database administrators / managers and information architects, the required level of technicality is defined as ‘intermediate’. There will also be a live question and answer session after the webcast in which participants can raise their own particular issues.
